Modules based on the FT245R IC are now available from FTDI and its distribution channels.

These products allow customers to quickly evaluate the FT245R device and drivers prior to commencing their own design.

UM245R

The UM245R module is a USB - FIFO DIP module providing access to all DBUS and CBUS pins of the FT245R.

DLP Design - DLP-245PL-G PIC Development Platform

The DLP-245PL-G USB/microcontroller module combines the same USB interface used in the DLP-USB245M-G module with a Microchip PIC microcontroller to form a rapid development tool. The 18LF8720 microcontroller is pre-programmed with basic functionality for accessing the port pins and can be reprogrammed with user hex code via a 5-pin header that is compatible with Microchip's MPLAB ICD2 device programmer/debugger (sold separately).

DLP Design - DLP-245PB-G

The DLP-245PB-G, an updated version of the DLP-245PB, is a powerful integrated module featuring FTDI's FT245RL 4th generation USB FIFO together with a PIC 16F877A MPU. It plugs into a standard 40-pin 0.6in wide DIP socket. It is ideal for rapid prototyping and development of FT245RL/PIC based designs or incorporation into low/medium volume finished product designs.
