FTDI Announces FT2232H and FT4232H Hi-Speed USB ICs at Electronica
FTDI is pleased to announce the release of two new ICs - the FT2232H Hi-Speed USB Dual UART/FIFO IC and the FT4232H Hi-Speed USB Quad UART IC.

Both of these new ICs are USB 2.0 Hi-Speed devices operating at 480Mbps.  In addition to the standard UART and FIFO modes, each of these devices supports FTDI's bit-bang modes and contains two multi-protocol synchronous serial engines (MPSSEs) to allow communication using JTAG, I2C and SPI protocols.

USB-RS232 Cables Available
New USB-RS232 cables and USB-RS232 PCBs are now available from FTDI.  These cables have an FT232R and RS232 level converter housed in the moulded USB connector with integrated Tx and Rx LEDs.

Cables are FCC, CE and RoHS compliant. The USB side of the cable is USB powered and USB 2.0 full speed compatible.  Each cable is 1.8m long and supports a data transfer rate up to 1 Mbaud.

DLP Design Competition
DLP Design is pleased to announce the inaugural DLP-232PC Design Contest whereby customers have a chance at winning a 65-inch Hi-Def LCD television or one of five other prizes. Visit the Design Contest Page to download the contest rules and get started!
